Copy Create
Designer Ieva Laurina project in collaboration with RIJADA
I am interested in copying as a method to create something new.
I see  copying as  a potentially enless process, where a copy can be copied again and the new piece can be subject of reproduction on its own turn. It is the same priciple as the game of 'silent telephones' that most of us have enjoyed as children. It is an ongoing process of transformation that could be compared to evolution.  An artificial evolution that is copressed in time. The results depend  on the technique that is used and the individuals involved. I want to let the technique loose its objectivityand let the accident play an important role.
'Copy' becomes 'Copy-Create'. A reproduction is not an anonymous shadow it is a part of a growing family that tell its own the story.
